NON - Eventful Weekend

We passed up a weekend in Vermont, skiing with Deb, Emily and friends, so Rowdy could FINALLY finish his final masters paper. Friday night, Rowdy took a break from his paper, so we could watch America's Funniest Home Video's 2 hour finale. I laughed SO hard, I was crying. Some of the clips are just SO funny!

Saturday, I did some laundry and then became obsessed with finding a way to get into shape by swimsuit season. I decided to order the Core Secrets package with ALL the videos.(buns, abs, full body, you name it!) I can't wait to get it! I spend the rest of the night catching up on the phone with friends. Rowdy was STILL working on his paper till the wee hours.

Sunday I was daring enough to watch Hide and Seek, by myself. I can't believe the twist in that movie but it wasn't too scary, thank goodness. Rowdy worked on his paper all day and night and still isn't finished. UGH!!!!!

I can't wait for the 'BACHELOR' finale tonight!!!! I really hope he picks Moana, since I predicted she'd be in the final 2 from the beginning, but I have a feeling it'll be Sarah. I can't take the anticipation!!!!

Well, gotta go send off some resumes....FUN FUN.....Chao Bella!

A Night in Davis

Went to Davis Square last night to meet up with Deb, Emily and Liam. We started at the restaurant Out of The Blue and then went to the Buren, an Irish pub. Davis is a great little area filled with all kinds of excitement. I'll definitely have to go there more often, especially since we live so close.

Tough Guy!

Here are some photos of Rowdy acting tough while getting ready for his deployment exercises this week. He scared the crap out of our cat, Stimpy, looking like he did in the second photo. It was really funny!

Current music mood: U2-Mysterious Ways- LOVE IT!!!!!!!!

Weekend

We had the coldest day of the year on Sat!!! It felt like we were back in Cheyenne, with the winds and everything. Anyway, we purchased a new desktop computer and went out to eat, but other than that, we didn't do anything. I really wasn't feeling well most of the weekend and Rowdy was working on his last master's paper. I know, I know BOR-ING!!

OH, YOUCH! I just butchered a recipe my mom gave me, of one of my favorite dishes. Gotta GO!

More later......

Hasty Pudding Parade

Beginning of parade......

Harvard Marching Band.....(they looked far from thrilled)
Some Llamas......
Man juggling bike on face.....(don't ask me why)
Halle holding pink stuffed animal
Character in red blocking only great shot of Halle(ugh!)
Halle behind character in yellow
Back of her head and her shaking hands getting in limo

Today was a beautiful day for a parade. I went to Harvard Square to check it out and to catch a glimpse of Halle Berry. She's very tiny in person and of course gorgeous. These are the photos I managed to capture during all the chaos. I don't think I've ever seen so many grown men cry at the sight of anything in my life. One guy next to me, that shook her hand, said he was never going to wash it again and his friend suggested chopping it off to sell on ebay! Anyway, I got a good look at her and that's all I needed. I didn't go to the roast since the tickets were $80. I didn't really want to spend that much.
*FYI-The Harvard Theater Dept. gives out the Pudding Pot Award every year to an actor/actress that gives a lasting and impressive contribution to the world of entertainment.

Post-Valentine's

Hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day. We laid low since we weren't able to get dinner reservations, to the restaurant we wanted to go to, till 9pm tonight. Hopefully it'll be worth the wait!

Tomorrow I'm going to the Hasty Pudding Theatrical Parade, in Harvard Square. Halle Berry will be leading the parade, since she's one of the recipients of this years Hasty Pudding Award(Richard Gere accepts his on the 24th), followed by a "Roast", at the Agassiz Theater, with Halle in the hot seat. It should be fun. More details later......

I wanted to read the book, For Laci, since I've followed the case from the beginning, plus her mom wrote it.(I refused to buy Amber Frey's.) I finished it on Monday and let me tell you, it was REALLY sad. You could just feel this woman's pain. It also gave details on things you didn't see in the news. Anyway, now I have to go back and finish "A Million Little Lies...I mean...Pieces" (I needed a break from it.)

I FINALLY finished revising my resume. I really needed a change in format, but have been freaking out about which format to use, until I went to the Family Support Center on base a couple weeks ago and found a book called "Jobs and the Military Spouse", (and a couple others about cover letters, interviewing, thanks you letters, etc, etc). They had a format that is the most effective for the Military Spouse. The book was VERY informative. I'll see how it works, but I'm also going to have it in another format, as a back up. That's all for now...tootles.

Current Music Mood: Billy Idol, "Rebel Yell" (YEAH!!!!!)

Me NO LIKEY!

I made the horrible mistake of watching the movie "The Grudge" yesterday with Rowdy. I'm thinking to myself, Self, you don't live in a scary house anymore, so go ahead and watch. BIG MISTAKE!!!! I couldn't sleep for most of the night because that's all I could think about. It scared the pants off of me and I'm gonna be haunted by it for who knows how long. Rowdy is now making all the noises they made in the movie!(those who have seen, know what I'm talking about) I can't take it!!!! I couldn't even bare to put a picture of it on the blog! Did anyone else think it was scary or am I just a big baby?!

I tell you though, if we were still in Cheyenne living in our old house, I wouldn't have slept again! NO JOKE! Good decision on my part, NOT to watch it then!

Blizzard 2006!

AHHHHH, the memories!!!! It just seems like yesterday we survived the Blizzard of 2003 in the Rockies. I'm not sure what I did to deserve the PLEASURE of being in another blizzard, but piece of cake! Geez, and to think I wanted to move to LA and miss all of this glorious powder!! What the hell was I thinkin'?! This stuffs GREAT! (YES, I'm being sarcastic)!!!!! We got FRICKIN' DUMPED ON!!!!!!The photos were taken this morning when it started. It became much MUCH worse, but unlike Cheyenne, they have been bustin' ass trying to plow today. Anyway, it finally stopped and hopefully with the couple days of sunshine we're SUPPOSE to have ahead, it'll melt quickly, but we'll see.

HOT, HOTTY, HOT!!!!!!!

Sorry Tyrece, no disrespect, you're just distracting me!!!

It's been 5 years and I still haven't budged on who I think is the "Sexiest Man ALIVE" !!!! Paul Walker is in a new movie, Running Scared, coming out this month! What A HOTTY!!!!! It should really be illegal to be so good looking!

Let me recite a conversation I had with my friend Tony after he met Paul Walker, a few years ago, on the street walking his dog...... and mind you, this is after a year of hell I received from Tony, Rowdy, and Byron for thinking he's hot!

Sally- Hello?

Tony- GUESS WHAT DUDE!?!

Sally-What!?!!?!

Tony- My girlfriend and I met Paul Walker on the street tonight walking his dog!

Sally-NO "BLEEP"! You LIAR! Please tell me you're lying!!!!

Tony- NO, dude. You're right, He's one REALLY good looking dude!

Sally-NO "BLEEP"! I TOLD YOU! AHHHHHH! I'm so consumed with jealousy, I could die!

Tony-Yeah dude, and my girlfriend was petting his dog!

Sally- OK, I think I hate you now! You stole my dream!

The end!

Me be Jammin!!!

Ok, I realized I had to change the music on my blog more often than I thought.

I'm jammin' to the Grammy's right now. I like how they're cutting out all the talking and playing more music. I just love award show season!!!!

Blogger Music!

You can add music! How exciting. I just love finding out new things with the blog. (I think I may be borderline OBSESSED) I noticed Melissa had a video, so I look up the sight. I noticed my FAVORITE song EVER and couldn't resist putting it on. The video is at the very bottom, so if you get sick of the song you can turn it off, but I'll try and switch out every week or so with some new tunes.

Blogger Problems

I've been having some issues with getting comments on my blog the last day or so. For those that left comments on my last blogs and they are no longer there, I did get them, but they disappeared! I have NO idea what happened! Some stay and some don't. Has anyone else had this problem??? If so, please clue me in on what the heck is goin' on!

Super Bowl

We had Steve, Dawn and baby Charlotte over for some munchies. Charlotte is an absolute doll, but my cats were terrified. They have NO idea how to react to such a little person, but managed to behave themselves. Charlotte is such a fun baby and I really enjoy Steve and Dawn's company. I even got to have Dawn try the maze game(some of you already know what that is! HAAAA HAAAA HAAAA! We got a good laugh out of that one!!!

Sat.

We went to eat at a Japanese Steakhouse with a big group of people Rowdy works with for a going away. We drove an hour outside of Boston to a town called Worshester (don't ask me why we left Boston to do this, but whatever). Anyway, we had some din din and then drove all the way back home.

Later that evening, we went out with Chris, Caroline and some of their friends to the Red Fez, a middle eastern restaurant and bar in the south end of Boston. It was a really cool place. I enjoyed it. I even ran into the bartender/artist from Cheers, Mark, AGAIN! In a city with such a large population, it's very strange I keep running into this person. He's really nice and we chatted for a bit about Art. He has a studio in a really nice area of Boston and has frequent gallery showings, so he gave me his website address to look at some of his work. I'll link him in to my blog sometime for you all to see.

Then Chris and Caroyln were so nice to drive us home. Chris was the sober driver of 3 really tipsy persons!!! Poor guy. Anyway, these are the only photos I took of our excursion. BOO HOO! :(

Thank you Dan!

We recieved some AWESOME gifts today from my brother, Danny. He went to Israel over Christmas break and brought us back a Hooka(along with charcoal, extra pipes, and flavored Kiwi tobacco) and some Black Mineral Mud from the Dead Sea(for me, Not Rowdy). I've wanted a Hooka for the longest time(for decor, not to smoke) and I can't wait to exfoliate with mud from the depths of the lowest spot on earth. He's the best brother ever! Thank you!

And thanks Mom for shipping it!

Just for you Mom!

My mother has been bugging me, up until today, to see this picture I took holding a baby tiger cub last year in Cheyenne, so I decided to take a picture of the picture and post it. It was the best $25 I spent, even though my husband and some friends laughed at me(not to name any names...hmmm.... KEELEE)! I don't care, laugh all you want to, party poopers! I thought it was GRRREAT!
