Fri - 20th/ Epcot

Friday morning we checked in to our hotel and went to Epcot. Even though I've been there a few times before, I was REALLY excited to go again! It was a long day, but we had a BLAST!!!! We went to all the countries except for Germany and Italy, rode the rides and saw some shows. We stayed until the end to catch the IllumiNations fireworks show! It really puts every fireworks show to shame. It's just so BEAUTIFUL!

After Epcot we went to the bar in our hotel for a midnight snack and a couple cocktails, while listening to karioke until the wee hours.

Thurs-19th

Rowdy even caught a frog. Isn't it cute!

We went to Ruby Tuesday's for dinner, had some cocktails and then headed to James and Susan's house, which is about 40 min or so from Orlando. The house was beautiful! They did a wonderful job of painting and decorating. We just spent the evening chatting and laughing, while watching their wedding video!

Back From Vacation!

WE'RE BACK!!!!! We had a FABULOUS time in Florida. I have a TON of photos so it might take a while to update this trip. James and Susan were such gracious hosts. We can't thank them enough for such a wonderful time. We did NOT want to come back to the COLD and SNOW we recieved, so it made it really hard to leave. Orlando was high 70's-80's the whole time!!!!! We'll definitely continue to visit every chance we get.

Off To FLORIDA!!!

We're leaving for Orlando tomorrow to enjoy some fun in the sun with James and Susan! TOOTLES!Be Back Next Week!

Crazy TV!

Iraqi Camel Spiders

I watched Fear Factor last night and I couldn't believe my eyes and STILL can't get it out of my head! You couldn't pay me enough money or could you.....(quarter mill)??? You be the judge. They had to eat 2 of the Camel Spiders, yes 2, and they were ALIVE!!!!! I'm thinkin', Ah, HELL NO! They were HUGE and I'm scared to death of spiders as it is!!! They were, of course, a wee bit smaller than the spiders the Soldiers are holding above, but they were still the size of a small hand. ICK!

Bluetooth

New Favorite Gadget: Bluetooth

Pros:
Don't have to carry phone when talking
Light weight on ear
Don't need phone to answer calls
On/Off switch, Volume control

Cons:
Definitely NOT a fashion statement!
Looks like you're talking to yourself.

Note: I will not be one of those dorks that wears it around all the time so no worries, Tony!

And the best Movie "Drama" is..........

Watched the Golden Globes tonight and I'm thrilled that Brokeback Mountain won best Movie "Drama" along with 3 other trophies. I was surprised that Heath Ledger didn't win best actor. He definitely deserved it. Oh well, I guess there's always the Oscars.

So I hear that it's not even playing in Ft. Collins?! That's bull**** !!!!! I know how much you Cheyenne/Ft. Collins gals wanna see it! Looks like a roadtrip to Denver might in order or you'll just have to wait till DVD/Video. That really sucks, but MAYBE, just maybe, the base will play it!!!???

Friday 13th Night Out!

Ken, Lisa and friend

Debbie and I outside Sauce

Carrie's boyfriend, Carrie, Debbie, me and strange man(?)

Well, I decided to venture out to Davis Square last night to meet my friend Debbie, who flew in from Dallas. She was suppose to get to Boston at 10 or so, but missed her first flight and finally caught the last flight out at 8:30, which should have landed her here at 11:45. Well, her friend Emily called to see if I wanted to meet them out anyway, so I went(Rowdy was too tired). I first got screwed by the cab driver. He took me all the way around town to get to Davis, when it was actually a couple streets over from where I live. It really sucks when you know you're getting screwed, but there's nothing you can do about it. I payed $8 more than I should of. OH WELL! Went to a lounge called Sauce, where I met up with Liam, Emily and Liam's friend Ken. Then a few other people showed up. Emily left to pick up Debbie from the airport but Debbie didn't make it to the bar until after it closed (sick and tired), so we chatted outside for awhile and took a cab home. It turned out to be a really fun night(for me anyway, sorry Deb). I only had 1 full glass of wine and a beer. That's IT! Still doing well on Resolution 10!!!!! Other than a few minor set backs, hopefully my Friday the 13th curse is broken.

Farrah Jade!

Got some photos of the precious little one! She's ADORABLE! Looks like Troy's a natural!

No WONDER!!!

When I was woken early this morning and got out of bed, things were already going wrong and I hadn't even had breakfast!!! At that point, all I really wanted to do was break MOST of my resolutions!!!! Then I realized, as I was checking my calendar, that it's FRIDAY THE 13th!!!! AH HA! That explains it! (well to my superstitious ass anyway)! Nothing good ever happens to me on this day(some people might even call it a CURSE), so I've decided not to take any chances out in the big bad world. I'm gonna stick my butt at home, look for more jobs, polish my resume, and finish reading my book.

Step it up CHEYENNE!!!!

Went to see Brokeback Mountain at this morning's matinee in Harvard Square. Rowdy absolutely REFUSED to see it with me and I couldn't wait any longer, so I went ANYWAY. All I can say is WOW! WOW! WOW! I highly recommend seeing this film. Especially my buddies in Cheyenne ( hee hee). Keelee said they weren't playing it in Cheyenne though. What a shame! I'm sure everyone already knows that the movie is based in Wyoming. Casper's playing it, so what's up Cheyenne??!!! Get with the times already! Someone go see it PLEASE! I want to talk about it, but I don't want to give anything away.

Warning: The men might not be able to handle it.

COOKIE TIME!

My favorite!!!!

YUMMY! It's Girl Scout Cookie time! I swear, I haven't seen a girl scout in years, but today was my lucky day! Rowdy ordered a few boxes from work and I can't wait till they get here in March! I remember selling those damn things, which sucked, but I sure do enjoy eating them! It's been YEARS!!!!!

Phone Pix

Line Drawing

Original
Black and White

Cartoon

I've had my camera phone since Oct and I'm still finding new things to do with it. HOW EXCITING! I think these features are really neat, even though I'm sure everyone else is up to date with this! This is a camera picture we took on New Years Eve. I'm addicted!

Walk the Line

Went to see Walk the Line tonight and I must say that I now have a new found love for Johnny Cash, June Carter Cash and their music. I thought it was a very well made movie and BRAVO to the actors. They did a magnificent job of portraying the characters. Damien bought a DVD of Johnny Cash in concert and I'm sad to say I think I laughed at him for doing so, but I will be the first to admit I was wrong and look forward to listening to it when we visit him in Chicago.

Being Optimistic!

I've been doing well on my resolutions so far. I've kept up with all of them except the working out, which I've decided to start tomorrow. UGH! NO, I can do it! I just have to keep telling myself that!

I haven't had a cocktail or polluted myself in 7 WHOLE DAYS!!!!! I feel good, but I'm starting to get a little antsy!!!!

We're going to see Walk the Line tonight. That's all! NO going "out" out although I really want to. I feel boring all of a sudden, but it's only temporary until I can get myself back to a nice, healthy balance. Rowdy TOO!

I'm hangin' on by a thread, can't ya tell???? I can do it, I just have to keep tellin' myself that!

Also our mutual funds have FINALLY started making some money after a year and a half!
YEAHHHHHH!!!!

Happy Wed!

I've heard some great news today.......

Rowdy called this morning to let me know that we got a big increase in our BAH! WAHOOOOOO! Gotta love more money!

The best news of all is that my mom had another CAT scan this morning and the chronic subdural hematoma is almost all GONE! The Dr. was really amazed at how quickly it dissolved and she doesn't have to see him again!! WAHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

That's all for now!

2006!

The year kicked off with a bang and I was able to do a good deed already! Last night, while walking to the subway station, I noticed a purse on the ground. Rowdy wanted to leave it, but I picked it up and noticed that there were credit cards, cash and a driver's license. We decided to take it in hopes of tracking the girl down in the morning. Damien and I looked up her number with the address on her license, and I left her a message. She called back and was so grateful! She lived about 40 or so minutes away, but came to pick it up. She had a bottle of champagne for us as a thank you, which was really nice. She's happy to have her purse back and I'm happy to drink a little bubbly because of it!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

New Years Cont....

New Year's Eve

I don't know this guy, but I liked his glasses!

AH, the love!

Rowdy, Caroline, Diana, Chris, Damien

Happy New Year!

We met up with Chris, Caroline, and Diana(Caroline's aunt) at the Black Rose, downtown, to ring in the New Year. This was the first time I've been on the east coast time zone to celebrate. Of course the night had it's share of interesting moments, such as people passing out(not me, Damien or Rowdy), puking(not me, Damien or Rowdy), loosing things(Damien), loosing people(Damien), etc, but all in all, it was a great night( even if it was snowing and sleeting). The subway stations stayed open longer for New Years, so we made it there right on time to catch the last train and got home just before 3am to ring in the New Year with Scot and Becky via phone in LA. We were POOPED!

Fri-Downtown Boston/Porter Square

Friday night we went to the Boston Common/Beacon Hill area to see the New Year's Ice Sculptures. They were in the progress of sculpting. It was SO neat! Then we went to Cheer's and had some beer. The bartender recognized me from a couple of weeks ago with Melissa. He said that rarely ever happens. I guess it is the place where everybody knows your name, well, mine anyway! HA! HA! Later, when we went back to Porter Square, Rowdy wanted to go home so Damien and I had a couple drinks at Christopher's.

Thurs-HarvardSquare

Before going out

Rowdy with Sar

My cat rubbing her face on Damien's backpack!

After going out!(Not really sure what they're doing)

Damien and Rowdy went to Grendal's Den in Harvard Square. I met them out later at a bar called Noir in the Charles Hotel. We were accompanied by Sar and Jon, a couple guys they met at Grendal's. We had a few pricey martini's and Sar and Jon picked up our $140 bar tab. I tried to fight it and fight it, but they insisted. SO nice of them!
