Fun Work Outing!

This is an old post! I just forgot to publish...

Last week, my co-workers(Chandra, in photo, and Suzanne) and I went to a few different Art galleries on Newbury St for work. We met at Sonsie's, one of my personal favorites, for appetizers and wine, www.sonsieboston.com, gallery hopped for a couple hours, and then had late afternoon "Tea" at the Four Seasons, which was DELISH! The Rolling Stones were in town for a concert and there at the exact same time! We saw some members of the entourage, but according to "Doorman Steve", we missed Mick Jagger by minutes! BUMMER! Anyway, I just read in the Boston Globe, that Mick and the band went to Sonsie's that evening! I guess we just kept missing each other! Sorry for your luck, Mick! (HA) Anyway, the BIGGEST BUMMER of all, was that I could've had free Rolling Stones tickets for the concert the next night! The Base was giving away free tickets to spouses, whose husbands were deployed, but tickets were limited! Of course, I missed out on the one day I'm not religiously checking my email. BOO!HOO!

BEING SICK SUCKS!

I feel like POO today! My nose is running like Niagra Falls and my head feels like a ton of bricks! I would love to take some Nyquil and go to bed but that thing called "work", is stopping me from doing so! SUCKY!

Delivery Day!

Well...our new furniture arrived today, but not without problems! Our couch BARELY fit through the stairwell!!! (The same stairwell, that forced us to give away our other couch, HENCE, why we needed to buy new furniture!) I thought I was going to have a nervous breakdown! Anyway, as you can see, it made it in and fits perfectly in our place! The kitties seem to love it and I'm sure Rowdy will too!

New Baby Girl!

Mandy and Brian had their baby girl Sophia Renee, and she's SO beautiful! Congratulations!!!

FINALLY....A Honeymoon!

Rowdy and I never took a honeymoon after we got married and we've spent the last 6.5 years taking vacations to visit family and friends, but we finally booked a trip to Cozumel from Jan 4-10! We are staying at the Cozumel Palace Resort-All Inclusive and it's absolutely beautiful! Some things are just worth waiting for!!!

Crate and Barrel ROCKS!

My long, exhausted search for the perfect couch/chair and ottoman is O-V-E-R! I found it at Crate and Barrel www.crateandbarrel.com. It's the perfect set to fit our needs of great looks for Muah and comfort for Rowdy! Now I just need to get rid of this other furniture we have so I can have it delivered, so BYE BYE you uncomfortable, piece of crap love seat!!! I think the only "person" that actually liked it was Stimpy, but I'm pretty sure he'll be very happy with the new selection! Oh and Crate and Barrel is now my new favorite home store...Sorry Pottery Barn!

Sat Night!

Went out with Emily, Roshni, Liam, Kristin and Katie on Sat night. We started out with some wine at Emily's and then went to Central Square for some dancing at the Phoenix Landing. Aside from the rain, it was another successful evening of fun!

For the rest of the weekend, I haven't done anything except lounge and attempt to finish some laundry. I really did have a ton of things to do, and I was SUPPOSE to go to Crate and Barrel to purchase our new couch and chair, but that still wasn't enough to get me off my lazy tush(sp?)! Sorry Rowdy!

YUMMY Martini!

After our day of sight seeing around the city and shopping in Fanueal Hall... Chris and Caroline met up with us in the the Italian District(North End) for some dinner. We ate at a restaurant named Lucca's and it was magnifique!!!! We chatted away for a few hours, had some drinks and then Chris and Caroline went home, so they could finish moving into their new place. Sam and I took a stroll through the BostonCommon/Beacon Hill area on our way to "CHEERS" for a another drink and then we called it a night, since we had to get up at 6am to take Sam to the airport! The whole weekend was SO much fun!!! Thank you Samantha for visiting me~!!

On Sat, after a delicious Thai lunch, we were off for some sight seeing around the city. First we went to Cambridge, for a quick tour of Harvard and Harvard Square, then we went on a Trolley ride around the city. I'm so happy it's didn't rain like it was suppose to. We had clear, sunny skies all day!!

Sam flew in on Fri afternoon, from Florida, for the weekend! We started the evening with some wine at my place and then went to "No Name" for a lobster dinner! YUM! We then stopped in a couple different lounges for some drinks, walked the city and talked until the wee hours! Aside from the rain early on, it was a perfect girls night out!

Show me the MONEY!

I am SO excited! I received an invitation with 2 tickets to the Women's Financial Conference in Boston(Sept 13), to hear Jean Chatzky, NBC's 'Today Show' Financial Editor, and 6 of her wealthiest self- made millionaire experts, share their "secrets and strategies" on how to become, well... RICH ! She's also on Oprah's Dept Diet series. Don't ask me how or why I got an invite, but I'm GOING! I need to find someone to go with me. Anyone interested in learning how to making more money???

I Want My MTV!

The new season of Laguna Beach started on MTV last night. I still can't believe I actually watch that show(how lame), but I admit, I'm addicted! Anyway, Dominique and I went to a Mexican Restaurant, in Arlington, for dinner and then came back to my place to watch it. I realized, after we took a picture( so I could have SOMETHING to blog about) that I was wearing my MTV t-shirt! I feel like such a dork, so NO, it wasn't planned. Oh well, what do ya do!

Friday Night

Met up with Emily, Liam, Ananda and Kristen(on the left) in Davis Square for some drinks. I just love hanging out with them. It's always a great time!

BAD BLOGGER!

I know I haven't posted in forever~ I just haven't had much to blog about, but I'll try and come up with some new things. I started a new job a little while ago, so that keeps me busy most of the time. I haven't blogged about it because I wanted to make sure I'd like it and so far so good. I'll take some pictures of my work soon.

My cats still love their toy so I have to play with them all the time now! If I won't come to them, they drag the toy up the stairs and come to me. It's pretty funny!
