Patriots vs Buffalo
Rowdy and I went to a New England Patriots game last night. It was my first NFL football game and although it was cold we had a great time. The entire game was a close one, but the Patriots took the win, 21-16. Our seats were really high up, but I was still able to check out Tom Brady #12! WHOO, what a HOTTY! (I can't post photos because my computer is STILL broken, but will as soon as it gets fixed. Hopefully this week.)

Nor'easter
Pretty scary stuff!
OK.....SO did I sleep in class the day this was taught, because I(Rowdy too)had NO idea what the heck a nor'easter was? We've been hearing about it all week, so I looked it up to see what the fuss was about! This has been the reason why we've been getting such horrible weather. We were going through a NOR'EASTER, DUH! BOY, Have I been in La la land or what?! Did anyone else know or not know what this was.....I wanna know!
Nor'easter: A Nor'easter is counter-clock wise turning cyclone (a storm system circulating around a center) as opposed to a hurricane which turns right in the northern hemisphere. Nor'easters are spawned by a very curvy Jet Stream that dips far south allowing cold arctic air to meet warm air. The warm air rises over the cold, creating instability up high and an area of low pressure below. Larger temperature differences create greater turbulence. Once the system is formed, the earths rotation causes the air to circle around the center (similar to when you drain the water out of your bath-tub). This creates the northeast wind, hence it's name nor'easter. They typically form near the Bahamas or north of Cuba, along the Appalachians or off Cape Hatteras.

Rain Rain GO AWAY!
It's been practically raining here non stop since I got back! I'm so sick of it! It rained almost the whole time that Uncle Mike was here. (We still had a FABULOUS time)! I feel like I live in Seattle.
I'll post more later! I've got a million other things to catch up on.

Pasta House
Cat Scan
The cat scan revealed that there is no improvement since last week, which means we aren't any closer to a solution. The Dr is not happy with the results. He said it can either dissolve on it's own, liquefy so they can try and drain it again, or do the full brain surgery. She has another cat scan in two weeks to see if there is progress. It's gonna be a long wait for some results, but it'll be alright. I'm going back to Boston on Fri. It'll be up in the air whether or not I return to MO in the near future.

Baseball
OK! So the White Sox spanked the Red Sox, that's fine! Damien, you can have your moment of glory, but what the HECK is going on with the Cards??? SO SAD!
Weather
The weather in MO was in the 70's and beautiful today. I'm actually glad that I'm here and not in Boston since it's still raining and getting colder. NO FUN! I'm not looking forward to winter AT ALL!

Home Alone
Poor Rowdy has been home alone for quite some time how. I know he's just bored to tears not to mention it's been raining cats and dogs in Boston for days and days.
Found out that James and Susan bought a house in Florida and they move in Nov 1. Congrats!
Can't wait to visit. Hopefully SOON!

Updates
I have extended my stay in MO for a few more days. I'm scheduled to leave on the 21st now because I wanted to be there for my mother's follow-up CT scan. She's doing better everyday!
I just wanted to say thanks to all my wonderful friends and family for all the birthday wishes. It means a great deal to me! I wasn't much in the mood to celebrate but it turned out to be one of the best birthdays I've ever had, even if I am 31!
I met up with my friend Hollie for an hour or so in the afternoon and then I went out with Nicole and a few other friends last night. We had a pretty good time. It was nice to get out, have a couple cocktails and talk about useless stuff! Other than that, I'm holding up much better than before!
I can't wait to go back to Boston and enjoy the beautiful fall they are suppose to have although the weather in MO is nice and warm! Rowdy's Uncle Mike is coming for a visit on the 21st, the same day I get back, and I know we're gonna have a good time!

Back at My Mom's
Well my mom was released from the hospital yesterday. The surgery didn't work, but enough blood did drain to relieve her of some symptoms. The rest is too thick to drain. They sent her home and will continuously observe her to make sure it doesn't get worse, but if it does they need to do a full brain surgery. We're hoping that doesn't happen. It's just a waiting game right now but she's in good spirits.

St Louis
I'm flying out at 5:30am and will arrive in St. Louis at 9:30am. I can't wait around any longer. I'll be gone for a couple of weeks so I can look after my mom. I'll post when I can. I can be reached on my cell.
Surgery
I just spoke with my mom and I guess the draining of the clot isn't going well so they will have to go back into surgery. This is extremely frustrating! We are back to square one.
Post - Surgery
My mom had her surgery and it was a success! She's doing well. I even talked to her for a few minutes, but she had lost her voice so it was difficult. I was just so happy to talk to her. I hope her recovery is quick and painless. Thanks for all the support, thoughts and prayers I received for my mom. I can't tell you how comforting it was during this very scary time. THANK YOU! THANK YOU ! THANK YOU!

Red Sox vs Yankees
Well...this was a HUGE weekend for baseball. There were a lot of famous faces in town such as Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner + baby, and Spike Lee, just to name a few. I wish I had the energy to go downtown. They have a certain number of military tickets available before the games, but you have to get to Fenway REALLY early. I just wasn't in the mood to deal with all the commotion. I secretly want to root for the Yankees anyway, cuz they have MUCH cuter players. Derek Jetter - What a HOTTY! I know, I'm bad. I'm glad the Red Sox made it to the playoffs though!
Watch out Damien! Our Red Sox are gonna SPANK your White Sox!

Phone Calls
Sorry! I haven't been good about returning phone calls this past week. I've had so much on my mind that the days have just blended together. I'll try and get back to everyone this week.
I can't believe it's OCT already!!!
