A REAL Lobster Fest!

We went to the best seafood restaurant in Boston, called "NO NAME". It's one of Boston's hidden secrets and right on the bay. We had a lobster meal with shrimp and scallops! YUMMY!!

After dinner, Rowdy and Dan wanted to go bar hoppin, while my mom and I decided to go home. Unfortunately, bar hoppin' was cut short, when I realized Rowdy had taken the keys to our building and apt off our key chain and placed them in his pocket!!! We were almost home, so they had to leave to meet us. OH WELL! Not my fault! That'll teach him to separate the keys!

Here are some photos of our Day 1 excursion on Boston with my mom and brother. We went on a Harbor Cruise around the bay, followed by a Trolley Tour around the city and then walked some of the Freedom Trail. We also stopped in the Black Rose for some New England Clam Chowder and beer.

Later we headed to Harvard Square to tour the campus. Now we're at home relaxing after a long day!

Going Away Luncheon

Today, Rowdy's co-workers treated us to lunch, at an Italian Restauraunt in Lexington, for his going away on deployment. It was SO nice of them. They also gave him a great big card signed by everyone, wishing him luck on his travels.

FINALLY!

Well, it did rain today, but finally let up enough for the sun to shine through! Thank goodness!! We're not suppose to get anything for a couple of days, but then back to more rain by the end of the week! SUCKS, but atleast we got a break!

OK! I'm starting to lose it! It's been raining here for almost 2 weeks NON-STOP and it's not suppose to stop till the middle of next week, if that! They say the rain is the worst it's ever been on record since the 1930's. People are being evacuated all over the state of Mass and New England area, because dams are breaking and rivers are overflowing. Parts of Boston are flooding as well. I've never seen anything like it. It just rains and rains and rains!

We went out with Chris and Caroline last night for a laid back evening. We started at the Burren in Davis Square and ended up at Christopher's in Porter Square.

My little brother Danny graduated today, with honors, from the University of Missouri-Columbia "MIZZOU". He got a degree in Biochemistry with a minor in Chemistry. He also got accepted to Dental School at the University of MO-Kansas City, which starts Aug 21st. I'm So sad I can't be there to see him graduate, but he'll be in Boston with my mom on Wed! CONGRATULATIONS DAN! I'm so proud to have you as my brother! See you soon!

I'd also like to Congratulate my sister, Holly, for getting a job offer. I'm sure Mike, her hubby, is happy she'll be bringing home some bacon instead of spending all of his. HAA! HAA!

I'm the only one that hasn't found a nitch yet! Someone throw me a bone, damnit! I need something I can enjoy for once!

Military Spouses' Appreciation Day!

Rowdy surprised me today with some beautiful tulips for Military Spouses' Appreciation Day! Thanks Babe! I totally forgot we had a day! How exciting! I'm honored to be a Military Spouse(even though, I fought it at the beginning) and I'm thankful to know such great people, who are spouses as well, so Happy Military Spouses Day Ladies! (Kim H, Kim D, Hollie, Frankie, Jamie, Samantha, Keelee, Collene, Beth, Whitney, Susan, Tammi and Wendy! Just to name a few!) You are all lovely ladies. Through parties, pregnancies, births, motherhood, blogs, travel and more parties and/or whatever it may be, thanks for keeping life interesting! LOL

FREE AT LAST!!!!!!

Today was my last day working in hell!! I'm SOOOOO happy to be free of such a miserable and abusive environment! I wrote a bunch of other ,not so nice, things about the people, but changed my mind on posting it because I didn't want to stoop to their level! Anyway, I'm going to put it all behind me like it never happened!

Today was a gorgeous day to take in a ballgame! It was sunny and warm. Fenway Park is such a neat stadium with enormous team spirit!!! Not an empty seat in the place! We're really glad to have gone and hope that we'll be able to go again in the future. Tickets can be pricey and hard to get! Here are some photos of our day.....

After the ballgame, we went to the Arlington theater, which plays older movies, to watch "Failure to Launch" It was a tad cheesy but tolerable!

Rowdy's Getting Deployed!

Just found out this week that Rowdy is getting deployed to Afghanistan for over 4 months! I've been in a state of shock for a few days now, but I figured I should finally blog about it to let everyone know. He leaves on May 23rd. That's a little over two weeks! Yes, I think I'm STILL shocked because it's such short notice and I'm going to be all by myself in Boston! Although, I don't want him to go and I will miss him dearly, I know this is what he's always wanted to do, so I support him 100%!

Thurs!

Rowdy, Shawn and Mike played some poker at the base club so I met them there after work for some dinner, pool, and drinks! We called it an early night, even though it made me sad to say goodbye! It was a long week for all of us though! Mike will be back to Boston in Oct and he promised to send Wendy out sometime this summer for the week! We love you MIKE! Thanks for visiting with us!

Shawn is having fun, REALLY!

Mike and his buddy Shawn came over so we could out! We had a few drinks at our place and then headed to Davis Square for some dinner at Out of The Blue, which was FABULOUS, followed by a little bar hoppin'! I can't remember the name of the first place, but it was a dive, so we went the Burren for the remainder of the evening. We met some VERY interesting people and then bumped in to our friend Liam! He had some drinks with us until we went home.

In typical Yates fashion, we had a blast!

Shawn and Rowdy also realized at the beginning of the night that they are Sigma Nu brothers so they are now bonded for life!

SO ILL!

After we came home last night from seeing Kathy and Mike, I was hungry again, so I made the mistake of eating my left over Indian food. I went to sleep and woke up in the middle of the night with a horrible cramping in my stomach!!!! I could feel the color draining from my face and I turned GREEN! I also felt light headed and broke out in a cold sweat!!!!! I made it to the bathroom just in time to VIOLENTLY toss my cookies, among other things, over and over and over again! I woke up poor Rowdy with my yelps of "PLEASE HELP ME ROWDY, I'M DYING!" I'm not sure what happened, maybe food poisoning, but I'll NEVER eat Indian food again! ICK!

Friends in Town

We went out last night with Kathy and Mike, both in town on business. It was SOOO great to see them!!!! We had some dinner and drinks at the Naked Fish Restaurant in Burlington. We're all suppose to get together again on Wed night!!
